Welcome! We hope you will join us in worship!

“Come-See-Go-Tell” Theme Verse:

(Jesus): “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:25   (ESV©)

Today’s Light Bible Study has had a schedule change, it will resume on Oct. 25. Join the group on Saturdays at 3:15 in the Library, as they continue their ‘walk’ through the Bible. No cost – no registration … just come!  (If you worship here on Saturday, this is a wonderful “lead-in” to the service.)

Young Mozarts’ Concert: Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014 at 3PM. Featuring young, talented pianists, and classical/non-classical guitarists ages 6-16. Some have even performed on the National Stage! Mark your calendars and plan to bring a friend! It is one of our most popular concerts!

White Elephant Parade

On Sat., Oct. 25th, Risen Savior will join with over 100 other entries in the Country Fair White Elephant Parade. Our float will proclaim 50 years of Sharing God’s Grace and Going Forward. During the parade, Risen Savior Members will pass out water and fans in front of the church. We need walkers to help! Please contact Deaconess Jeri at 625-2612. Hope to see you there! Paul Gilmore, member of Risen Savior, is one of the “judges” for the parade on Saturday.  He will be in the booth just south of Esperanza.  We congratulate Paul and wish him well with this special (and fun!) duty.

LWML 1st Meeting of the Year

Join us on Tuesday, October 21 for LWML’s first meeting of the 2014-2015 season.  Time is 1 p.m.  Location is Fellowship Hall.  This is a Mite Box meeting, so remember to bring your Mite Box.  Program will be a short video presentation on Operation Christmas Child. Please bring ingathering items that can be packed in the shoeboxes.  Suggestions include soap, washcloths, toothbrush and tooth paste, clips and bows, toys for boys and girls, hard candy (no chocolate or liquids, please).  Set your imagination free and think of what a child might enjoy receiving.  Monetary donations toward shipping or additional shoebox items will be cheerfully accepted.  Any questions, please contact Merry W. at 203-7003.

LWML Invites all members of Risen Savior to join us on Tuesday, November 4th, at 10 AM for a special prayer service, entitled “This is What We Are Baptized For…,” written for LWML by the Rev. Bernhard Seder, who serves three LC-MS congregations in North Dakota.  With so many conflicts within our nation and in countries around the world, there has never been a better time to join together in prayer with other Christians. The doors at Risen Savior are open to all … please feel free to invite neighbors and friends to this special prayer service.
